Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a full‑time SEN Teaching Assistant for a welcoming primary school in Borrowash, Derbyshire. You will support an EYFS child with ADHD throughout the school day, helping with routines, engagement and access to learning in a fun, structured way.

The role starts ASAP and runs until July 2027. You’ll join a supportive team and benefit from CPD opportunities, generous pay rates, and ongoing consultant support from TeacherActive.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEN / SEND in a primary or Early Years setting.
• Experience supporting children with ADHD.
• Understanding of EYFS and early childhood development.

The school is looking to take on a full‑time SEN Teaching Assistant from ASAP until July 2027, supporting an EYFS child with ADHD throughout the school day. The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will help the child engage with classroom activities, develop routines, build confidence and access learning in a fun, structured and supportive way.

Responsibilities

• Experience supporting children with SEN / SEND in a primary or Early Years setting
• Experience supporting children with ADHD
• A good understanding of EYFS and early childhood development
• The ability to create engaging and positive learning experiences
• A patient, energetic and caring approach
• A ‘can‑do’ attitude and the ability to work well as part of a team
