We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary SEN school in the NG5 area. This rewarding role involves supporting pupils with a variety of additional needs, helping them to access education, develop confidence, and achieve their full potential.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children with special educational needs and wants to make a lasting impact within a specialist educational setting.

The Role
  • Provide classroom and 1:1 support to pupils with special educational needs.
  • Support children with Autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and associated learning needs.
  • Assist with the delivery of tailored learning activities.
  • Support pupils' emotional, social, and academic development.
  • Promote positive behaviour and encourage independence.
  • Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, therapists, and other support staff.
  • Help create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.
The Ideal Candidate
  • Has experience working with children or young people with SEN.
  • Is patient, caring, and resilient.
  • Can build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
  • Has strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Is passionate about supporting children with additional needs.
  • Holds a relevant qualification in Education, Childcare, Health & Social Care, or a related field (desirable but not essential).
