TeacherActive is seeking a compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant for a welcoming Nottingham school (NG10). The role involves supporting pupils with a range of additional needs throughout the day, delivering 1:1 and small group interventions, and adapting activities to meet individual learning goals.

You will work with the class teacher, support personal care where required, and use positive behaviour strategies to promote engagement and emotional regulation.

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to support pupils with a range of additional needs throughout the school day. You will deliver 1:1 and small group interventions, adapt learning activities to meet individual needs, support pupils with personal care where required and use positive behaviour support strategies to encourage engagement and emotional regulation. A good understanding of adaptive teaching, pre-key stage assessment and the wider curriculum will be essential in helping pupils access learning successfully.

The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will have:

• A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification, or a minimum of six months' recent experience supporting children with SEND.
• A strong understanding of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities and the ability to adapt learning to meet individual needs.
• Experience supporting pupils through 1:1 and small group interventions.
• Knowledge of behaviour support strategies, emotional regulation techniques and pre-key stage assessment.
• Confidence supporting pupils with personal care where required.
• A patient, resilient and nurturing approach with a genuine passion for helping every child succeed.
