SEN Teacher – Specialist Setting (Sunderland)

Location: Sunderland
Pay: £140–£220 per day
Contract: Full-Time, Ongoing
Start: As soon as possible

We’re recruiting a committed SEN Teacher to join a specialist school in Sunderland supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, including autism, SEMH and complex learning needs.

This role is suited to a teacher who understands that progress looks different for every child and values relationships, consistency and trust as the foundation for learning.

The role:

  • Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons
  • Teaching pupils in small classes with high staff-to-pupil ratios
  • Supporting pupils with emotional regulation and behaviour
  • Creating a calm, structured and inclusive learning environment
  • Working closely with support staff and specialist teams

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Holds QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Has experience in SEN, alternative or specialist settings
  • Is calm, patient and resilient
  • Believes in inclusive, child-centred education

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
