Overview

TeacherActive is proud to be working with an amazing SEND provision in the Oldham area, supporting recruitment for a SEN Teacher. The setting of this school is centred on pupil development, with an intrinsic desire to make progress academically and in emotional, social and behavioural skills.

This school seeks a passionate team player for a long-term position, with potential for permanent appointment for the right SEN Teacher. The successful candidate will bring new dimension and skills, be keen to develop their own abilities to adapt to children's individual needs, and have a positive impact on the wider school.

Responsibilities
  • Work with students across Key Stage 3 and 4 with diagnoses including Autism / ASD, SLD / Severe Learning Difficulties, and challenging behaviours.
  • Be a proactive thinker with the ability to take control of situations confidently.
Qualifications and Skills
  • SEND Teaching experience.
  • QTS with English as a specialism.
  • Good knowledge of the national curriculum.
  • Initiative and the desire to deliver fun and engaging lessons.
  • Ability to build good relationships with staff and pupils.
  • Strong behaviour management skills.
