Job summary

Remedy Recruitment Group is seeking an experienced English Teacher with SEN and SEMH expertise to join an intimate SEN school in Epping. You will plan and deliver engaging lessons, support pupils aged 11-18, and adapt content to meet diverse needs within a multidisciplinary team.

This role offers immediate interviews, long‑term potential, and a daily opportunity to impact pupil progress and well‑being in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) required.
• PGCE or equivalent training.
• Experience in SEN education (Secondary preferred).
• Strong classroom management.
• Patient, resilient and adaptable approach.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Enhanced DBS check or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging and accessible lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
• Teach pupils between the ages of 11-18.
• Adapt curriculum content to meet a wide range of additional needs and abilities.
• Create a safe, structured learning environment.
• Build positive, consistent relationships with pupils to support engagement and progress.
• Work closely with SEN support staff, therapists and wider school teams.
• Monitor, assess and report on pupil progress in line with school expectations.
• Support positive behavior management across the classroom.

I am looking for an experienced English Teacher who has extensive SEN and SEMH experience to join an intimate team of teachers within an SEN school in Epping.

This is a rewarding opportunity to support children and young people with additional and complex needs. You will help them learn, build confidence and achieve their fullest potential. This is a rewarding role in which you will gain a lot of hands on experience
