Job summary

Remedy Recruitment Group is seeking an experienced English Teacher with strong SEN and SEMH background to join a close-knit team at an SEN school in Epping.

You will support children and young people with complex needs, helping them build confidence and achieve their potential through tailored lessons and collaborative planning with therapists and SEN staff.

Qualifications

• SEN experience in education, preferably secondary.
• Strong classroom management and pupil engagement.
• Ability to work with a multidisciplinary team.
• Patient, resilient and adaptable approach.
• Willingness to obtain an enhanced DBS check if needed.

• Plan and deliver engaging and accessible lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
• Teach pupils between the ages of 11-18.
• Adapt curriculum content to meet additional needs and abilities.
• Create a safe, structured, supportive learning environment.
• Build positive relationships with pupils to support engagement and progress.
• Work with SEN support staff, therapists and school teams.
• Monitor, assess and report pupil progress in line with expectations.
• Support positive behavior management across the classroom.

I am looking for an experienced English Teacher who has extensive SEN and SEMH experience to join an intimate team of teachers within an SEN school in Epping.

This is a rewarding opportunity to support children and young people with additional and complex needs. You will help them learn, build confidence and achieve their fullest potential. This is a rewarding role in which you will gain a lot of hands on experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging and accessible lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
• Teach pupils between the ages of 11-18.
• Adapt curriculum content to meet a wide range of additional needs and abilities.
• Create a safe, structured, comfortable and supportive learning environment.
• Build positive, consistent relationships with pupils to support engagement and progress
• Work closely with SEN support staff, therapists and wider school teams.
• Monitor, assess and report on pupil progress in line with school expectations.
• Support positive behavior management across the classroom.

Candidates Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• PGCE or Equivalent training
• Experience in SEN education (Secondary preferred)
• Strong classroom management
• Patient, resilient, adaptable approach
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
