Job summary

Remedy Recruitment Group are seeking an experienced English Teacher with extensive SEN and SEMH experience to join an SEN school in Epping. You will support children and young people with additional and complex needs, helping them learn, build confidence and achieve their fullest potential.

You will work with a collaborative multidisciplinary team, plan engaging lessons, monitor progress and contribute to a positive learning environment that fosters growth and resilience.

Qualifications

• Experience in SEN education, secondary preferred.
• Strong classroom management.
• Patient, resilient, adaptable approach.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging and accessible lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
• Teach pupils between the ages of 11-18.
• Adapt curriculum content to meet a wide range of additional needs and abilities.
• Create a safe, structured learning environment.
• Build positive relationships with pupils to support engagement and progress.
• Work closely with SEN support staff, therapists and wider school teams.
• Monitor, assess and report on pupil progress in line with school expectations.
• Support positive behavior management across the classroom.

• Monitor, assess and report on pupil progress in line with school expectations.
• Support positive behavior management across the classroom.

Candidates Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• PGCE or Equivalent training
• Experience in SEN education (Secondary preferred)
