Job summary

Remedy Education is seeking a SEN English Teacher for a SEN secondary school in Epping. This full-time role runs 8:30 am–4:30 pm, starting after October half-term. You will plan and deliver accessible English lessons for pupils aged 11–18 with SEN.

Applicants should have QTS and PGCE or equivalent, SEN experience (secondary preferred), strong classroom management, and a collaborative, adaptable approach. An Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one) is required.

Role Overview

I am looking for an experienced English Teacher who has extensive SEN and SEMH experience to join an intimate team of teachers within an SEN school in Epping.

This is a rewarding opportunity to support children and young people with additional and complex needs. You will help them learn, build confidence and achieve their fullest potential. This is a rewarding role in which you will gain a lot of hands on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging and accessible lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
• Teach pupils between the ages of 11-18.
• Adapt curriculum content to meet a wide range of additional needs and abilities.
• Create a safe, structured, comfortable and supportive learning environment.
• Build positive, consistent relationships with pupils to support engagement and progress
• Work closely with SEN support staff, therapists and wider school teams.
• Monitor, assess and report on pupil progress in line with school expectations.
• Support positive behavior management across the classroom.
