Prospero Teaching is looking for passionate, proactive, and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to support the learning of pupils in one of our inspirational PRU Settings in Sunderland on a full-time basis. About the Setting:

• The role is based in an inspirational PRU setting in Sunderland.
• The School supports pupils across the Primary and Secondary School age range, with opportunities to support pupils across all year groups depending on your preference and specialism.
• The School has an outstanding supportive culture and Leadership Team, where staff work as a team within classrooms to provide high standards of support to pupils.

Pay, Hours and Contract:

• Pay – Between £80-95 per day
• Hours – Full-time until the end of the Academic Year in July 2025
• Contract – Temporary, until July 2025
• Start Date – January 2025
• Location – Sunderland

About the Role:

• Supporting pupils who have been temporarily excluded from mainstream school, including pupils with challenging behaviour and varied SEN.
• Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
• Building rapport and positive relationships to help pupils engage and progress academically and socially.
• Understanding different needs and learning styles, working closely with Class Teachers and colleagues.

Experience/Qualifications and Requirements:

• A Supporting Teaching and Learning or Childcare-based Qualification (desired)
• Experience working with children in UK schools
• Experience in an SEN School or PRU setting (desired)
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
• Resilient, proactive, and positive attitude
• Right to Work in the UK
• Enhanced Child DBS certificate registered with the update service or willingness to obtain one
• Two professional references from the last two years
