Contract Type:30 hours per week, 6 month fixed term contract with view to extend

Location:South Shields
Salary: £13.21 per hour
Hours: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM (Term Time Only)

About the Role:

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Support studentswith on a 1:1 and small group basis.
• Implement personalised learning strategies for student that may be distantand hard to engage
• Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to create an inclusive classroom environment.
• Encourage independence, build confidence, and manage behaviour in a positive and supportive way.

We’re Looking For Someone Who:

• Has experience working with children with SEN, particularly ASD. We welcome applicants fromoutside of education with transferrable skills such as residential childcare workers or carers.
• Approaches challenges with patience and understanding
• Is enthusiastic and proactive in helping young learners succeed.
• Can build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.
• Holds a valid DBS check (or is happy to obtain one).
