The successful candidate will be pivotal in creating an accessible and motivating learning environment. Your responsibilities will encompass:

  • Instructional Adaptation: Planning and delivering exceptional English lessons that are specifically differentiated and modified to suit a wide range of SEN requirements.
  • Curriculum Alignment: Skilfully utilising developmental frameworks, such as P Scales, to ensure content is appropriate and measurable for student progress.
  • Creating Inclusion: Cultivating a positive, secure, and respectful classroom atmosphere that fosters the holistic well‑being and academic growth of every student.
  • Team Collaboration: Working closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and the broader pastoral team to deliver coordinated and comprehensive student support plans.
  • Pastoral Support: Providing necessary personal care assistance as part of a student‑centred approach.
Applicant Profile (Essential Criteria)

We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate the following non‑negotiable requirements:

  • Certification: Mandatory Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) recognised in the UK.
  • Relevant Experience: Substantial, verifiable experience educating pupils with diverse SEN within a UK school environment.
  • Teaching Acumen: Demonstrated proficiency in differentiated teaching strategies, inclusive pedagogical practices, and highly effective behaviour management techniques.
  • Personal Qualities: Excellent capacity for patience, high levels of empathy, outstanding communication, and a proactive team‑player mindset.
  • Safeguarding Compliance: Must already hold an active DBS check on the Update Service or be prepared to immediately commence a new application.
