Job summary

Remedy Recruitment Group are seeking an experienced English Teacher with extensive SEN and SEMH experience to join an intimate team within an SEN school in Epping. You will support children and young people with additional and complex needs, helping them learn, build confidence and reach their full potential.

Key responsibilities include planning and delivering engaging lessons, adapting content for diverse abilities, working with SEN support staff and therapists, and monitoring progress in line

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• PGCE or Equivalent training.
• Experience in SEN education (Secondary preferred).
• Strong classroom management.
• Patient, resilient, adaptable.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).

Responsibilities

• Teach pupils between the ages of 11-18.
• Adapt curriculum content to meet a wide range of additional needs and abilities.
• Create a safe, structured learning environment.
• Build positive, consistent relationships with pupils to support engagement and progress
• Work closely with SEN support staff, therapists and wider school teams.
• Monitor, assess and report on pupil progress in line with school expectations.
• Support positive behavior management across the classroom.
