Job summary

Remedy Recruitment Group is seeking an experienced English Teacher with extensive SEN and SEMH experience for an SEN school in Epping. You will join an intimate team, supporting pupils aged 11–18 with complex needs to build confidence and achieve their potential.

Key responsibilities include planning personalised lessons, adapting curricula, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to monitor progress and manage behavior. Immediate interviews and long-term roles are on offer.

Qualifications

• QTS and teaching qualification required.
• Experience in SEN education (Secondary preferred).
• Strong classroom management skills.
• Patient, resilient and adaptable approach.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging and accessible lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
• Teach pupils between the ages of 11-18.
• Adapt curriculum content to meet a wide range of additional needs and abilities.
• Create a safe, structured learning environment.
• Build positive, consistent relationships with pupils to support engagement and progress.
• Work closely with SEN support staff, therapists and wider school teams.
• Monitor, assess and report on pupil progress in line with school expectations.
• Support positive behavior management across the classroom.
