Job summary

Remedy Recruitment Group is seeking an experienced English Teacher with SEN and SEMH expertise to join a close-knit team at an SEN school in Epping. You will plan and deliver engaging lessons for pupils aged 11-18 with diverse needs, adapting content and environments to support progress and well-being.

Applicants must hold QTS with PGCE or equivalent, and have SEN experience (secondary preferred). An enhanced DBS and collaborative approach are essential.

Qualifications

• PGCE or Equivalent training
• Experience in SEN education (Secondary preferred)
• Strong classroom management
• Patient, resilient, adaptable approach
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging and accessible lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
• Teach pupils between the ages of 11-18.
• Adapt curriculum content to meet a wide range of additional needs and abilities.
• Create a safe, structured learning environment.
• Build positive, consistent relationships with pupils to support engagement and progress
• Work closely with SEN support staff, therapists and wider school teams.
• Monitor, assess and report on pupil progress in line with school expectations.
• Support positive behavior management across the classroom.

I am looking for an experienced English Teacher who has extensive SEN and SEMH experience to join an intimate team of teachers within an SEN school in Epping.

This is a rewarding opportunity to support children and young people with additional and complex needs. You will help them learn, build confidence and achieve their fullest potential. This is a rewarding role in which you will gain a lot of hands on experience
