Job summary

SENse Learning seeks Education Assistants in Hastings to provide one-to-one mentoring and learning support for young people with SEND. You will work across home and community settings, delivering creative activities aligned with EHCP goals and trauma-informed approaches.

The role emphasizes building life skills, confidence, and emotional regulation, with flexible part-time to full-time hours and self-employed arrangements. DBS and references are required where possible.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience working with children or young people with complex needs.
• Ability to work in a child-centred, holistic way with creativity to adapt the curriculum.
• Enhanced DBS and 2+ professional references preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop strong, positive relationships with children and young people.
• Provide one-to-one support at home and in community settings with creative activities.
• Support life skills, confidence, independence and emotional regulation using trauma-informed approaches.
