Job summary

SENse Learning is hiring Education Assistants to provide one-to-one mentoring and learning support for SEND learners across the Horsham area. Roles are flexible, with in-person, hybrid, and community-based options to fit your schedule.

Join a passionate team committed to creative, student-centred education and safeguarding. Prior experience with complex needs is valued, and roles are offered on a self-employed basis with rolling interviews.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with complex needs (e.g. ASC, SEMH).
• Background in education, care, or youth work is advantageous.
• Enhanced DBS and safeguarding knowledge required/preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one mentoring and learning support in homes or community settings.
• Deliver creative, interest-based learning activities tailored to individual needs.
• Support development of life skills, confidence, and independence using trauma-informed approaches.
• Record progress and reflect on adaptations to improve outcomes.
