Job summary

SENse Learning in Hastings is seeking Learning Support Assistants to provide one-to-one mentoring and learning support for SEND learners across a range of settings. You will work in homes, schools or community settings, delivering creative, interest-based activities to empower students.

This self-employed, in-person role offers flexible hours and multiple session opportunities, with DBS required and ongoing professional references.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience working with children or young people with complex needs.
• Enhanced DBS clearance and professional references required.
• Based in the UK with right to work, including for remote/online work.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one support in homes and community settings with creative activities.
• Develop life skills, confidence and independence through tailored sessions.
• Use trauma-informed approaches to support emotional regulation and safety.
• Offer feedback to track progress and adapt support as needed.
