Job summary

SENse Learning is seeking Education Assistants in Salisbury to provide one-to-one mentoring and learning support for young people with SEND within homes and community settings.

Role focuses on building confidence, emotional regulation, and life skills alongside education, using the company curriculum based on EHCP areas. Roles offer flexible hours and varied site types to fit client needs.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience working with children or young people with complex additional needs.
• Background in roles such as Support Worker, LSA/TA, Youth Worker or related care/education backgrounds.
• Enhanced DBS and 2+ professional references.
• UK-based with the right to work in the UK and safeguarding knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Develop strong, positive relationships with children and young people who may have faced challenges.
• Provide one-to-one support in homes and community settings, delivering creative activities.
• Support life skills, confidence and independence development.
• Use trauma-informed approaches and flexible strategies for diverse needs.
• Provide feedback and reflections to track progress and adapt support.
