Education Authority is hosting a part-time, on-site Classroom Assistant role at St Mary's Primary School Strabane. The post focuses on supporting pupils with special educational needs, 22.5 hours per week across five days, with potential for a reserve list for similar openings.

You will work under the principal and class teacher to deliver educational support and care, helping pupils access the curriculum and participate in learning activities inside and outside the classroom.

Formación

• Essential criteria include a Level 2 qualification in a relevant area and either 6 weeks of related experience or 12 months in a formal learning environment.
• Knowledge of health and safety requirements and safeguarding is expected.
• Ability to plan, follow systems, and support a child-centred learning experience.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with SEN pupil support and care inside and outside the classroom.
• Contribute to inclusive learning, supporting participation in programmes and plans.
• Assist with administration and recording of pupil progress.
• Support with classroom management and equipment use.
• Attend in-service training and support work placement tasks.
