Job summary

Education Authority in Armagh/Craigavon seeks a part-time Classroom Assistant for SEN support. You will assist with educational activities, help pupils access the curriculum, and support personal care needs under supervision.

The role requires a Level 2 Childcare qualification or equivalent experience, strong communication, and flexibility within school hours. 32.5 hours/week, with flexible holiday options.

Qualifications

• Hold a Level 2 Childcare (or equivalent) qualification or have 12 months’ experience in a formal learning environment.
• Demonstrate health and safety awareness and safeguarding knowledge.
• Show ability to follow systems, plans and procedures relevant to the role.

Responsibilities

• Assist with special educational needs pupils under supervision, enabling curriculum access.
• Support movement around the school and with transport as required.
• Contribute to inclusion and monitoring of pupil progress and participation.
