Job summary

Teaching Personnel is recruiting SEMH/SEN Teaching Assistants to work across Wirral and surrounding areas. You will provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEND, helping them engage and progress in learning.

The role involves supporting pupils with SEMH needs, ASC, ADHD and other needs, assisting teachers with inclusive and differentiated activities, while upholding safeguarding and maintaining pupil records. A DBS and safeguarding commitment are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience with children or vulnerable groups.
• Enhanced DBS Certificate registered on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting welfare of children.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEND.
• Support students with SEMH, ASC, ADHD and other needs.
• Assist teachers with engaging, inclusive, and differentiated learning activities.
• Monitor pupil progress and maintain records; contribute to pupil support plans.
• Uphold safeguarding policies and procedures at all times.
