Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a Level 2 Teaching Assistant with SEND and SEMH experience for a full-time position at a welcoming primary school in the Runcorn area. You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to support learning and pupil wellbeing.

The role involves 1:1 and group support, planning and delivering tailored activities, and building positive relationships with children, staff and parents. Commitment to safeguarding is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a primary school setting.
• Experience supporting pupils with SEND and SEMH needs.
• Strong behaviour management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEND and SEMH needs.
• Supporting pupils inside and outside the classroom to promote engagement and positive behaviour.
• Assisting with the planning and delivery of tailored learning activities.
• Building positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
• Monitoring pupil progress and contributing to reviews and support plans.
• Promoting a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
