Job summary

Teaching Personnel Ltd. is seeking compassionate Teaching Assistants to support pupils with SEMH and SEN across Wirral and surrounding areas.

You will work 1:1 and in small groups, assisting with differentiated activities and behaviour support while building positive relationships with students and staff. Role offers full-time opportunities with competitive pay, ongoing CPD, and dedicated recruitment consultant support.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or vulnerable individuals is essential.
• Enhanced DBS registration (Update Service) or willingness to obtain one.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.
• Patient, empathetic and adaptable approach; resilience in challenging settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEND.
• Support SEMH needs, ASC, ADHD and other needs.
• Assist teachers with engaging, inclusive learning activities.
• Implement behaviour support strategies and promote positive behaviour.
• Support pupils' social, emotional and mental wellbeing.
• Build positive relationships to encourage engagement and achievement.
• Monitor pupil progress and contribute to pupil support plans.
