Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in Stretford, working with pupils who have SEMH needs. You will provide 1:1 and small-group support to primary pupils with SEMH needs, helping emotional wellbeing and learning, and building trusting relationships with children.

Working closely with teachers and pastoral staff, you will promote positive behaviour, confidence and independence, and help create a calm, nurturing

Qualifications

• Experience working with children, ideally within an SEN or SEMH setting.
• Calm, patient and nurturing approach.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Resilience and flexibility to support pupils with challenging behaviours.
• Genuine passion for helping children succeed.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to primary-aged pupils.
• Support pupils with their emotional wellbeing, behaviour and learning.
