Job summary

anzuk Education is looking for a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming SEND school in Southend-on-Sea. The role involves providing vital 1:1 and small group support, adapting materials for diverse needs, and managing complex behaviours.

With weekly pay rates from £92.63 to £100 per day, you will have access to SEND-specific webinars and professional development opportunities. This position offers the chance to work in an inclusive environment focused on quality education for pupils with ASD, ADHD, and SEMH.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting SEND/SEMH in educational or personal settings.
• Strong understanding of safeguarding and pupil welfare.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply.

Responsibilities

• Deliver tailored 1:1 and small group interventions.
• Adapt learning materials to meet diverse needs.
• Manage complex behaviours using positive de-escalation techniques.
• Track student progress and collaborate with staff.
