Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a Level 2 Teaching Assistant with SEND and SEMH experience for a full-time, temporary role in Wavertree, Liverpool. The position involves 1:1 and small group support, assisting with tailored activities, and promoting a safe, inclusive learning environment.

The successful candidate will hold a Level 3 TA qualification (or equivalent), have prior primary school experience, strong behaviour management, and excellent communication to collaborate with teachers, SENCO,

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils with SEND and SEMH needs in a school setting.
• Strong behaviour management and a calm, patient approach.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEND/SEMH.
• Support pupil engagement and positive behaviour inside and outside the classroom.
• Assist with planning and delivering tailored learning activities.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
• Monitor pupil progress and contribute to reviews and support plans.
