GSL Education Hull is seeking a Learning Support Assistant in Market Weighton to support pupils aged 11-16 with SEMH/SEND needs. The role includes 1:1 and small-group support, helping students access learning and remain engaged in lessons, and working closely with teaching and pastoral staff.

• Experience supporting SEMH and SEND students.
• Patience, calm and resilient under challenging behaviour.
• Strong communication and relationship-building with young people.

Responsabilités

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to SEMH/SEND pupils.
• Help pupils access learning and stay engaged in lessons.
• Build trusting relationships with pupils and support emotional regulation.
• Assist teachers with classroom activities and interventions.
• Maintain calm boundaries and a positive learning environment.
• Collaborate with pastoral staff to meet individual needs.
