Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant in Corby to support students with social, emotional and mental health needs. The role focuses on building emotional regulation, relationships and engagement in learning, under supervision of teaching and pastoral staff.

The ideal applicant brings experience with young people in related settings, strong communication and resilience, and a genuine passion for helping students overcome barriers to learning in a specialist SEMH

Qualifications

Experience working with young people in education, care, youth work, or similar settings.
Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
Calm, patient and resilient approach.

Responsibilities

Support students with SEMH needs one-to-one and in small groups.
Assist teachers in delivering engaging and accessible lessons.
Encourage positive behaviour and emotional regulation.
Build strong relationships with students.
Create a safe, structured and nurturing learning environment.
Collaborate with teachers, pastoral teams and support staff to meet individual needs.
