Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment in Corby is seeking a compassionate SEMH Wellbeing Support Assistant to work with pupils who have SEMH needs, helping them understand and manage emotions and engage with learning.

You will provide 1:1 and small-group support, build trusting relationships, and support emotional regulation while working closely with teachers and pastoral staff to maintain a safe, nurturing environment.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting SEMH pupils in education settings.
• Ability to support emotional regulation and anxiety management.
• Capable of building positive relationships with pupils and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SEMH needs.
• Support students experiencing anxiety and emotional dysregulation.
• Develop trusting relationships and promote positive attitudes to learning.
• Follow safeguarding procedures and maintain pupil records.
• Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs and pastoral staff to ensure consistency.
