Job summary

Ingeus is seeking a Restart Advisor for Stockport to coach and empower participants toward sustainable employment, from career coaching to personal development. You will support those starting self-employment ventures, guide them through legal requirements with DWP and HMRC, and tailor plans to overcome barriers.

You will assess needs, signpost to debt management, mental health and career coaching services, and help craft CVs and cover letters for job searches.

Qualifications

• Motivate, inspire and challenge participants to achieve their fullest potential.
• Experience delivering against performance targets and engaging participants in growth.
• Exceptional communication to address diverse needs and liaise with employers.
• High-level digital literacy to manage records and use software tools.
• Excellent organisational skills to manage a varied caseload and priorities.
• Experience in a relevant sector within the past 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Support participants setting up self-employment businesses and understand legal requirements with DWP and HMRC.
• Conduct diagnostic assessments to identify barriers and create action plans for employment.
• Meet and exceed performance targets and improve strategies with input from others.
• Signpost participants to internal and external services for debt, mental health, and career coaching.
• Help participants craft CVs, statements, and cover letters for job searches.
• Prepare participants for interviews with mock sessions and confidence building.
• Maintain accurate electronic participant records reflecting coaching to employment within required timescales.
