Job summary

University of Cambridge Security Section seeks a Security Supervisor to lead day-to-day operations across campus, including the Control Centre and Patrollers. This permanent role involves a 40-hour week with on-call duties and night/weekend shifts.

The successful candidate will supervise staff, allocate work, maintain service standards and provide decisive leadership during incidents. A security qualification and a full driving licence are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in security leadership or a comparable role.
• Ability to lead, motivate and supervise colleagues.
• Strong knowledge of security systems and procedures.
• Full and clean driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Security Management Team with day-to-day operations.
• Supervise University Security Patrollers and allocate work.
• Maintain operational and customer service standards.
• Lead effectively during security incidents and escalate as required.
