Job summary

University of Cambridge Security Section is seeking a Security Supervisor to join a full-time, 24/7 operation. The role includes supervising the University Security Control Centre and patrollers, coordinating work, maintaining service standards, and leading during incidents with appropriate escalation.

Applicants should have proven security experience, leadership ability, and a relevant security qualification.

Qualifications

• Proven experience within the security industry or another comparable profession.
• Ability to lead, motivate and support colleagues.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Security Management Team with day-to-day security operations.
• Provide line management and supervision to University Security Patrollers.
• Lead during security incidents and ensure proper escalation per procedures.
• Oversee allocation and supervision of work and maintain service standards.
• Work across a 24/7 shift pattern including nights and weekends.
