Job summary

Foundation Recruitment seeks a Security Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day delivery of security at a flagship shopping centre in the East Midlands. You will head a large, multi-disciplinary security team and drive high standards of safety and customer service across the centre.

The role requires a valid SIA licence, strong leadership and incident management skills, and the ability to coordinate with retailers, local authorities and emergency services.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a senior security operations role across high-footfall environments.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and develop large security teams.
• Strong knowledge of security operations, including CCTV and incident management.
• Valid SIA licence is essential.
• Solid understanding of health & safety, compliance and risk management.
• Experience in emergency planning and disaster response.
• Knowledge of business continuity and disaster recovery principles.
• Understanding of data protection and information security requirements.
• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong customer service ethos with the ability to engage diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily delivery of all security operations across the centre.
• Direct deployment of security personnel and resources for peak periods.
• Maintain a safe, secure environment for customers, retailers and staff.
• Lead on emergency planning and incident response procedures.
• Act as a key liaison with retailers, local authorities and emergency services.
• Drive ongoing training, performance reviews and succession planning.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety legislation and site policies.
• Manage third-party security contracts and external service providers.
• Foster a positive, inclusive and high-performance team culture.
