Ward Security seeks an experienced Retail Security Officer to safeguard a Shopping Centre in Gillingham, Kent. You will deliver exceptional customer service, maintain a clean, professional environment and perform ID checks, respond to emergencies, and provide information to staff and visitors.

The role requires SIA licensing, a robust security background, strong IT system proficiency, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• SIA licence is mandatory.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Proven experience as a Security Officer (min 1 year).
• Professional attitude and appearance required.
• Ability to deliver clear verbal and written reports.

Responsibilities

• Act as point of contact for staff and visitors.
• Provide information clearly in person, over the phone or by email.
• Report issues to supervisor or duty manager.
• Respond to emergencies and deal with conflicts appropriately.
• Carry out ID checks and monitor health and safety risks.
• Ensure reception areas and related spaces are clean and orderly.
