Job summary

Mitie Group plc. is seeking a Security Operations Manager to lead a portfolio of retail locations with a focus on service excellence, compliance, and KPI delivery.

You will supervise security officers, drive performance improvement, and ensure all sites adhere to Mitie policies and safety standards. The role requires strong leadership, a frontline SIA licence, a valid UK driving licence, and the ability to travel across the designated area to maintain strong relationships with store management

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence required.
• Current UK SIA licence (frontline) required or training may be provided.
• Experience delivering security services to retail or contract environments.
• Strong knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and audit processes.
• Ability to manage multiple sites and KPI delivery.

Responsibilities

• Deliver area results meeting budget and service targets.
• Ensure officers comply with Mitie policies, legal obligations, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain and review Risk Assessments and Assignment Instructions for all sites.
• Investigate incidents and report root causes with corrective actions.
• Lead recruitment, development, and supervision of security officers and ODLS.
• Support QHSE initiatives and maintain high service levels across the area.
• Provide strong leadership during duty manager rotations and client liaison.
