Job description

Great opportunity to work as a Corporate Security Officer for G4S, a leading global security and outsourcing group, specialising in outsourcing of business processes in sectors where security and safety risks are considered a strategic threat. G4S is recruiting for a Corporate Security Officer to work in Essex with a global company! Must have a valid SIA Door Supervisor or Security Guarding licence, a CCTV licence, and a full UK Driving Licence.

Contract Information
  • Pay Rate: £15.65 per hour
  • Shift Pattern: Flexibility required Monday to Sunday
  • Hours per week: up to 42 hours (average) – working 6:00–18:00 and 18:00–6:00 shifts
  • SIA Licences: Security Guarding or Door Supervisor and CCTV required

Your Time at Work
  • Deliver high‑quality guarding and customer service to clients and service users
  • Remain calm under pressure and handle confrontational situations professionally
  • Be physically fit to complete patrols and stand/walk during shifts
  • Confident in writing incident and shift reports
  • Maintain accurate records of all incidents, including video footage, reports, and other documentation; keep a daily log of CCTV patrols and faults
  • Document incidents, suspicious activities, and unusual occurrences in detail, reporting to relevant authorities or supervisors promptly; report equipment failures in line with established procedures
  • Continuously observe live CCTV feeds to identify potential security breaches, criminal activity, or safety hazards, and collate CCTV images for incident management per the CCTV Code of Practice
  • Respond to alarms and alerts from the CCTV system, assess the situation, and take appropriate action, such as contacting law enforcement or other emergency services
Our Perfect Worker
  • SIA licence required (CCTV and DS/SG)
  • At least 2 years of corporate security experience (an advantage)
  • Ex‑forces background an advantage
  • Flexible to work days, nights, weekends and accommodate operational changes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and customer service at all times
  • Excellent command of English and good IT skills
  • Reliable, responsible and punctual
  • A friendly, professional, courteous and outgoing character
