Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking an experienced security professional to join our Operations Control Room in Ipswich, coordinating responses to incidents, emergencies and alarm activations while supporting clients around the clock.

The role requires strong communication, calm under pressure, good IT skills and the ability to work 12-hour shifts including days, nights, weekends and bank holidays. You will record events in control room systems and provide timely updates to clients.

Qualifications

• Right to work in the UK and ability to pass BS7858 vetting.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Willingness to work 12‑hour shifts, including days, nights, weekends and bank holidays.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage responses to incidents, emergencies, and alarm activations.
• Act as the central point of contact for all operational and security-related matters during your shift.
• Maintain regular communication with mobile response officers, site teams, and clients.
• Record incidents, operational activity, and shift updates accurately within control room systems.
• Provide timely updates and reports to clients regarding site activities and incident responses.
• Monitor operations and ensure compliance with company procedures, policies, and industry standards.
• Support the efficient running of the control room to maintain the highest levels of service delivery.
