Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking experienced Secondary SEN Teachers to join specialist SEN schools on a long-term basis in Birmingham. You will deliver differentiated lessons to students with SEND and work as part of a supportive, multi-disciplinary team.

Holding QTS/QTLS or equivalent, you will adapt approaches to meet EHCP targets, contribute to reviews, and uphold safeguarding standards in a nurturing environment.

Qualifications

• QTS/QTLS or equivalent required.
• Experience teaching children with SEND.
• Commitment to safeguarding and welfare.

Responsibilities

• Deliver differentiated lessons to secondary students with SEND.
• Create an inclusive, structured learning environment.
• Adapt teaching to meet EHCP targets and learning needs.
• Collaborate with TAs, SENCOs, therapists and other professionals.
• Assess, monitor and record student progress; implement interventions.
• Support social, emotional and behavioural development and independence.
• Contribute to annual reviews, progress reports and multi‑agency meetings.
• Maintain high expectations of behaviour, engagement and achievement.
