Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking experienced and enthusiastic Secondary SEN Teachers to join specialist SEN schools on a long-term basis near Tamworth. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a nurturing environment where every student's individual needs are recognised and supported.

You will deliver engaging, differentiated lessons to secondary students with a range of additional needs, adapt teaching strategies to EHCP targets, and collaborate with TAs, SENCOs and therapists to provide

Qualifications

• Hold QTS, QTLS or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching children or young people with SEND in a specialist setting.
• Strong understanding of Autism, ADHD, SEMH and related needs.
• Committed to safeguarding and promoting welfare.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service or willing to apply.
• Right to Work in the UK.
• Provide two professional child-related references.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons to secondary students with SEND.
• Adapt teaching strategies to meet EHCP targets.
• Collaborate with TAs, SENCOs, therapists, and other professionals to provide holistic support.
• Assess and monitor progress, implementing interventions where required.
• Support students with social, emotional and behavioural development.
• Contribute to annual reviews, progress reports, and multi-agency meetings where appropriate.
• Maintain high expectations of behaviour, engagement, and achievement.
