Job summary

Prospero Teaching are seeking a dedicated Secondary Maths Tutor to provide 1:1 tuition in Halton. Sessions will be tailored to the learner’s starting point and targets, with a focus on making Maths engaging and approachable.

The role involves supporting KS3 and GCSE learning, identifying knowledge gaps, and delivering sessions that build confidence and independent problem-solving. DBS on Update Service is preferred or willingness to obtain one; right to work in the UK is required.

Qualifications

• A strong maths background with ability to teach KS3/GCSE levels.
• Experience teaching or tutoring secondary-aged learners.
• GCSE Maths teaching experience is desirable.
• Ability to explain concepts clearly to learners.
• Patient, encouraging and flexible approach to tutoring.
• DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
• Right to Work in the UK.
• Two professional child-related references.
