Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a 1:1 Secondary Tutor to support a learner in Halton through flexible, personalised tuition. The role involves delivering structured 1:1 tuition and tailoring lessons to the learner's targets.

The ideal tutor will work independently, build rapport with the student and adapt strategies to meet individual learning needs. This is a part-time, ongoing position starting September 2026, with 5-15 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Previous experience teaching or tutoring secondary-aged learners.
• Strong subject knowledge.
• Experience delivering 1:1 support desirable.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Flexible, patient and learner-focused approach.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
• Right to Work in the UK.
• Two professional child-related references.
