Qualifications

• Personable, warm approach, focused on resident wellbeing.
• Hold City & Guilds/NVQ/SVQ or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of nutrition.
• Experience cooking with fresh seasonal produce.
• Ability to create a welcoming home environment.
• Confidently engage residents to tailor appetising menus.
• Good knowledge of HACCP and food safety.

Responsibilities

• Manage the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence.
• Assist Head Chef in menu development.
• Work with fresh produce to deliver high quality dishes.
• Create a warm, efficient and fun kitchen environment.
• Work within budget and control costs.
• Complete regular audits of quality and safety.
• Manage stock control and inventory.
