Barchester Healthcare is seeking a passionate chef to join as a bank Second Chef part-time, delivering hotel/restaurant standards with flexible hours. You will support the Head Chef, craft nutritious menus and work with residents to tailor offers, all while maintaining high-quality dining and a warm atmosphere.

You will lead with warmth, uphold HACCP standards, and contribute to a welcoming home environment for residents, staff and visitors.

Formación

• Personable and warm approach with genuine care for residents' wellbeing.
• Holds City & Guilds/NVQ/SVQ or equivalent qualification.
• Experience leading and inspiring a team in a kitchen setting.
• Good understanding of nutrition and dietary requirements.
• Experience cooking with fresh seasonal produce.
• Ability to create a warm, welcoming environment in the home.
• Solid knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards.

Responsabilidades

• Manage the kitchen in the Head Chef’s absence.
• Assist Head Chef in menu development and seasonal menus.
• Prepare high-quality, wholesome dishes from fresh produce.
• Create a warm, efficient and enjoyable kitchen environment.
• Work within budget and monitor costs.
• Complete regular audits and manage stock control.
