Job summary

Tamworth Borough Council is seeking a Seasonal Visitor Services Assistant for Tamworth Castle. The role involves day-to-day delivery of visitor services, including the ticket office, shop, welcome desk, museum engagement, events and private bookings. It is a site-based, on-site position with 5.5 hours per week to be worked on Saturdays.

The post is a seasonal contract, 48 weeks per annum, with a salary from £26,016 per year pro rata. Closing date is 23 Oct 2026.

Qualifications

• Delivery of visitor services including ticket office, shop, welcome, museum engagement and events.
• Maintain high standards of display, cleanliness and customer service on site.
• Assist with private bookings and events as required.

Responsibilities

• Engage with visitors to ensure an outstanding experience on site.
• Keep display areas clean and tidy and report defects or damage.
• Assist at reception and shop to sell tickets, drinks, snacks and souvenirs.
