Job summary

Tamworth Borough Council's Tamworth Castle is seeking a Seasonal Visitor Services Assistant to deliver an outstanding visitor experience across the ticket office, shop, welcome desk, museum engagement, events and private bookings.

Reporting to the Castle Manager, you will engage with visitors, maintain displays, assist in reception and shop duties, stock replenishment, and castle patrols to ensure safety and brand representation of Tamworth Castle.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills and strong interpersonal abilities.
• Knowledge and use of relevant IT systems software (tills and sales systems).
• Team player with excellent verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day visitor services including ticket office/shop and welcome desk.
• Engage visitors to ensure the best possible experience on site.
• Keep display areas clean, report defects or damage, and assist in all visitor reception and shop tasks.
• Sell tickets, drinks/snacks and souvenirs; replenish stocks and supplies.
• Patrol the Castle to ensure a safe and secure environment; act as a brand ambassador for Tamworth Castle.
