Job summary

Responsibilities include opening/closing, inspections, minor repairs, security, health and safety compliance, and assisting with deliveries and room setups to maintain a safe, welcoming learning environment for pupils and staff.

Qualifications

• Experience in caretaking, facilities support or general maintenance.
• Ability to undertake minor repairs.
• Understanding of site security and safe working practices.

Responsibilities

• Opening and securing school buildings and grounds as required.
• Conducting routine inspections of the premises.
• Carrying out minor repairs and general maintenance.
• Maintaining outdoor areas, paths and playgrounds.
• Checking fixtures, fittings, doors and windows for visible defects.
• Identifying hazards and reporting maintenance concerns.
• Supporting health and safety inspections.
• Keeping entrances and communal spaces clean, tidy and accessible.
• Assisting with room setup and furniture movement.
• Supporting deliveries and safe storage of equipment.
