Job summary

XACT Placements Ltd. in Oxfordshire is seeking an IT Support Technician to maintain hardware and provide frontline technical help across school sites. This full-time role requires DBS checks and a commitment to safeguarding.

You will respond to support requests, install and repair school computers and devices, and support the network and desktop services, with emphasis on Office 365 and user applications.

Qualifications

• 1+ years' similar experience, ideally in education.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of common user applications and Office 365.
• Experience installing and maintaining school computer equipment and software.

Responsibilities

• Respond to technical support requests in line with expectations.
• Assist in the installation / repair of computers with standardised applications and networking software, diagnosing and solving problems.
• Assist in a wide range of technical duties related to the computer network and desktop services, first in connection with existing installations and upgrading of these installations.
