Job summary

XACT Placements Ltd. in Oxfordshire is seeking a Junior IT Technician to maintain IT hardware and services across school sites. The role is full-time and based on-site, with enhanced DBS and safeguarding checks.

You will respond to technical support requests, assist in installation and repair of computers, and support desktop services and network installations. The ideal candidate has 1+ years of relevant experience, strong customer service, and good knowledge of Office 365.

Qualifications

• 1+ years' similar experience ideally within education.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• High level knowledge of common user applications and skilled in using Office 365.

Responsibilities

• Respond to technical support requests in line with expectations.
• Assist in the Installation / repair of computers with standardised applications and networking software, diagnosing, and solving problems that come about in their operations.
• Assist in a wide range of technical duties related to the computer network and desktop services, firstly in connection with existing installations and upgrading of these installations. (Desktop computers, iPads, printers, telephones, scanners, pa equipment, AV lecterns and hardware).
