Job summary

Xact Placements Limited is seeking a Junior IT Technician based in Oxfordshire to support IT hardware and services across school sites. The role is full-time and requires enhanced DBS and safeguarding checks.

You will respond to technical support requests, assist with installation and repair of computers, and support a range of desktop and network services. Ideal candidates have 1+ years of relevant experience, strong customer service and communication skills, and solid knowledge of Office 365.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience, ideally in education.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• High level knowledge of common user applications and Office 365.
• Skilled in upholding the quality of school computer equipment, installing new and existing software across the network, providing technical support and resolving problems.

Responsibilities

• Respond to technical support requests in line with expectations.
• Assist in the installation/repair of computers with standardised applications and networking software, diagnosing and solving problems that arise in operations.
• Assist in a wide range of technical duties related to the computer network and desktop services, including installations, upgrades, and connected hardware.
